A balance pad is a more effective tool than a balance or wobble board for balance training because it requires you to engage more muscles to maintain your stability. The super unstable material of the balance pad means that the user must always compensate to stabilise themselves when training on the pad.
Due to its foam composition, a balance pad is slightly unstable when you step onto it. As a result, you are forced to use all of the muscles in your feet and core to maintain your balance.
